Our welfare commitment
We put animal welfare first in everything we do
Our Promise
At Roy Global, animal welfare is not just a policy — it is the foundation of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that every puppy in our care is treated with dignity, raised in a healthy environment, and matched with a loving family.
We hold ourselves to the highest industry standards and go beyond minimum legal requirements in every country where we operate. Our welfare protocols are regularly reviewed and updated by independent veterinary advisors.
Breeder Vetting Process
Facility Inspection
Every breeder undergoes an in-person facility inspection before joining our network. We assess living conditions, space, cleanliness, and enrichment.
Licensing Verification
We verify all required local and national breeding licenses, ensuring full legal compliance in the breeder's jurisdiction.
Health Protocol Review
Breeders must demonstrate comprehensive health screening, vaccination schedules, and genetic testing practices for their breeding pairs.
Ongoing Monitoring
Approved breeders are subject to periodic re-inspections and must maintain compliance with our welfare standards to remain in the network.
Health Guarantee
Every puppy comes with a comprehensive health guarantee. Before leaving the breeder, each puppy receives:
- Complete veterinary health examination
- Age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming
- Microchip identification with registered details
- Health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian
- Genetic health screening results (where applicable)
- Documented health history from birth
Responsible Breeding
We believe in responsible breeding practices that prioritize the health and temperament of every puppy. Our breeder network follows strict guidelines including:
- Limited breeding frequency to protect the health of mother dogs
- Mandatory genetic testing to prevent hereditary conditions
- Socialization programs from birth to ensure well-adjusted temperaments
- Proper nutrition and veterinary care throughout pregnancy and nursing
- No puppy leaves before the minimum age required by their destination country
Lucy's Law Compliance
In compliance with Lucy's Law, all our puppies are sold directly by licensed breeders. We never use third-party dealers.
Lucy's Law, enacted in April 2020, bans the sale of puppies and kittens by third-party dealers in England. This means puppies can only be bought directly from breeders or adopted from rescue centres. We are fully committed to this legislation and ensure every UK transaction is compliant.
Every puppy is health-checked, vaccinated, microchipped, and raised by vetted, licensed breeders who meet the highest welfare standards.
In compliance with Lucy's Law, all our puppies are sold directly by licensed breeders. We never use third-party dealers.
