Regelungen zum Welpenverkauf in Deutschland

Germany has robust animal welfare legislation under the Tierschutzgesetz (Animal Welfare Act) and the Tierschutz-Hundeverordnung (Regulation on the Welfare of Dogs). All puppies sold through our German hub comply fully with these regulations.

Minimum Age Requirements

Under the Tierschutz-Hundeverordnung, puppies may not be separated from their mother before 8 weeks of age. This is strictly enforced and applies to all sales within Germany.

Breeder Registration

Breeders in Germany who produce more than three litters per year must hold a permit under Section 11 of the Tierschutzgesetz. Our partner breeders are registered with the Verband fur das Deutsche Hundewesen (VDH) and adhere to the strict breeding standards of their respective breed clubs.

EU Pet Passport

All puppies receive an EU Pet Passport (EU-Heimtierausweis), which serves as a lifelong document for vaccination records and identification. This passport enables travel within the European Union.

Microchipping

All dogs in Germany must be identifiable by microchip. The chip number is recorded in the EU Pet Passport and registered with a national database such as TASSO or the Deutsche Haustierregister.
